Main Accountabilities
• Make sure food and equipment are prepared correctly and delivered on time for every flight
• Ensure daily compliance with food safety and quality standards, including FDA, USDA, HACCP, and company guidelines
• Investigate quality or customer issues and help implement solutions to prevent repeat concerns
• Support ongoing improvements to processes, safety, and productivity
• Supervise daily activities within your assigned area and lead regular team meetings
• Schedule and manage staffing to meet productivity goals while controlling overtime
• Train and coach employees on food safety, hygiene, and proper handling procedures
• Partner with site leadership to stay audit‑ready at all times
• Keep documentation current and follow up on corrective actions
• Lead by example, reinforcing company values, teamwork, and accountability
• Participate in company programs focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, engineering or related fields is preferred
- Certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)Working knowledge in Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards is highly preferred
- One to three years of related work experience required in the food safety area
- Proven analytical and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve budget
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA and HACCP regulations
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required combines with an aptitude for multi-tasking
- Be a collaborative leader who inspires, manages, coaches and respects people.
- Knowledge of computer skills required, including use of technology (scanners, tablets, printers, copiers, etc.) and Microsoft Office programs, as well as cloud-based systems.
COMPENSATION
The base salary offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, and geographic location, where applicable. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive program based on financial and operational performance and is targeted at 7% for this role.
