What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage day-to-day operational activities to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Develop staffing plans, schedules, and workforce strategies to support operational demands.
- Monitor productivity, labor utilization, quality standards, and operating costs.
- Ensure efficient movement and delivery of products, equipment, and services while maintaining operational timelines.
- Drive a culture focused on safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Investigate service issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Transportation, Logistics, Production, Warehouse, Inventory, Quality, Customer Service, and Safety.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, airline customers, and business partners.
- Support departmental budgeting, forecasting, and cost-management initiatives.
- Lead projects that improve efficiency, service levels, and employee engagement.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, transportation, distribution, manufacturing, warehousing, supply chain, aviation services, or related environments.
- Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
- Strong understanding of workforce planning, scheduling, and operational performance management.
- Experience managing budgets, labor costs, and productivity metrics.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to improve processes and drive operational results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
